Cordura fabrics are well known for their durability and resistance to abrasions, tears and scuffs. Excellent resistance to fading, abrasion, rot and mildew. Quick drying, and highly water repellent. We use two kinds of Cordura material, with 500 and 1000 denier. The 1000D versus 500D designation equates to the linear mass of the core yarn used to weave and create the Condura fabric. 1000D does have a greater resistance to tearing than 500D because of the stronger/thicker yarn used, but both materials are extremely strong.NYLON
