In 2022 Intrudair and Inclined Labs AB launched a new indoor and outdoor acro wingsuit joint development. Intrudair provided the physical conditions of making the wingsuits and the decades of experience in wingsuit development, while Inclined Labs gave their experience, knowledge and ideas of over 1000 hours of pure flight time in a "laboratory" environment.
It is safe to say that no one in the world has flown as much time in wingsuits anywhere in the world and no one has had the opportunity to study modern wingsuit flight as closely as the Inclined team and pilots. And now it is coupled with Intrudair's decades of wingsuit sewing experience!
The aim of the development is to jointly develop an intermediate wingsuit which you can use to start tunnel flying, develop your flying skills to the highest level, use it in the air, fly on both the belly and the back with the same performance, learn acro, freestyle and group flying. The FIN is a level 2 intermediate suit. Special attention has been paid to the wing profiles and to find perfect surface balance in order to ensure that the suit can withstand hundreds of hours of raw wind tunnel flight, a load that a normal wingsuit will never receive during normal parachute jumps.
It has a relatively thin symmetrical wing profile with a comfortably wide leg position, and an easy-to-hold arm position that does not cause a lot of shoulder strain even after hours of flight. The air intake system used on special Intrudair suits and the carefully adjusted internal pressure makes the flight smooth and the suit easy-to-handle. A special type of monochamber technology is used in the FIN so that the pressure is evenly distributed and always gives an optimum profile for flight, fills evenly and provides particularly smooth transitions.
